MASTERMADE KNITTING SINCE 2016
Founded in 2016, FAIZ T.S. began with a singular project: to contemporize the iconic Canadian sweater rooted in Cowichan knitting traditions. This piece remains at the heart of the brand, still handknit in British Columbia by Native knitters whose craft and knowledge carry forward a distinct regional legacy. Each garment reflects a respect for origin while embracing a modern perspective.
From its earliest days, FAIZ T.S. has pursued knitwear as a medium of design in its most focused form. In Yamagata, Japan, production continues on vintage Toyoda and Suzuki knitting machines first built in the 1950s. These machines, maintained with precision, lend each piece a character that is at once mechanical and human, balancing rigor with the subtle irregularities that define enduring textiles.
FAIZ T.S. approaches design as an ongoing study in form and material. Knitwear remains the foundation, though explorations occasionally extend into other categories of clothing and objects. Whether produced in Canada or Japan, each piece reflects a commitment to clarity, restraint, and longevity.

OVER 140 YEARS OF CANADIAN CRAFT
Incepted in the late 19 century and designed to be worn in harsh winter climates as an outer layer. Often displaying beautiful Native imagery within the knitting patterns.

INSPIRED BY COWICHAN KNITTING
An iconic Canadian traditional craft that rightfully belongs to its Native people and their roots, the Cowichan sweater is authentically Canadian. Its contemporary derivatives continue to be made in the land where they originated, by FAIZ T.S. & CO.

HANDCRAFTED IN BRITISH COLUMBIA
Each sweater is hand knit for up to 150 hours using the same knitting techniques used to craft authentic Cowichan sweaters. Designed with modern updates whilst remaining true to its authentic form. Orchestrated by a family owned knitting mill in located in B.C., Canada.
